Journey, Check points, and Destination

There are no destination in our journey... called life,
all we have is just multiple checkpoints...

Check points of...
Being born into this world,
Get pre-school education,
Primary education,
Secondary education,
Tertiary education,
Work,
Married,
Getting children,
Old,
and unavoidable... Death

We will not know where will we ended up in life,
as we are constantly striving for the best,

where our "FINAL" destination is pre-determined by many lil factors,
such as...

Luck,
People we meet,
Past karma,
Current karma,
Things we do,
Behavior,
Attitude,
Efforts,
Morality,
and not forgetting, Confidence... (and etc)

all mentioned will bring us to our final destination that no one actually knows...
so even u succeeded in something, dun be overjoyed,
as it's just a check point in ur life...

Life is short, Live it well~

spread love and compassion~

life in the current world is somehow cruel and lack of love and compassion...

please do try our best to spread more love and compassion so that everyone do not need to live in a living hell... :)

midst of a busy busy week~

while everyone is bz rushing our mind off to meet our task deadline...
suddenly we(all of us from Ambank project) tucked our head up... cos we heard one phone rang...
all of us including the BCs, Tech leads, PM, and all developers...

this was it ~!

the phone's ring tone was FUNNIE...

then we all started laughing... it was one of our fellow colleague's phone... he left his phone on his desk and went somewhere...

then when he walked back, everyone looked at him... and the colleague that is sitting beside him said... "eh ur phone rang~"... then he know why everyone looked at him d...

then one of the Tech lead said... "eh i want the ring tone!"... everyone started laughing... :))

This week was quite a hard week for me... many many weird and unpleasant things happened...
but thank god it's Friday tomolo~ double yey~!!

it started off like this...
took my car back from the workshop on Saturday after doing Top Overhaul on my engine... y overhaul? bcos of my engine overheated mentioned in one of my previous post...

drove to Lowyat... tot wanna get a larger capacity and faster hdd for my notebook... eyed on seagate momentus 5400.3 120gb hdd...

first time driving the car after overhaul... everything is okay... drive slowly to lowyat... when i reached the Sg. Wang, i heard some sound came from my engine compartment... it was like a rough machine sound... i din know what sound it was...

i could not stop my car and check as i was stucked in the traffic in between Sg. wang and Imbi Plaza...
when i entered the Lowyat Plaza carpark, the sound got louder... right after i took the ticket, turned the first corner in the parking lot, my engine suddenly STALLED~

quickly on my hazard lights as there's alot of cars behind me and the road is just single lane...
tried to crank up my engine... it fails... gave my car a very big jerk...
i tried again.. the sound got louder... no choice... i have to shift my car to the next level to a bigger space...

right after i turned down to the next level (B2), my car stalled again... luckily it manage to roll itself to the side...
so it was... la la la la la... i called my dad.. waited for him to come... and i only realized the importance of being an AAM member in situation like this... i regretted for not joining AAM soon enough :(

the security personnel in Lowyat plaza came over and asked me what happened... i told him my situation and he helped me to Push my car to a parking lot beside my car... so that i won't obstruct the traffic too much...

then he asked me to report myself to the Parking Management office to tell them about this matter, and ask for permission to leave my car overnight there... and pay the ticket for the day... 4 ringgit...

my dad came over... he did not bring the right tools... he could not do anything... so we just locked up the car... and left the car there...

then we went jalan jalan in Lowyat... since we are there.. why not get the things i wanted to get rite? :P

so we walked around... getting all price list from various shops... looking at the price and comparing them... and decided to get the things from Cycom... as the Hdd price is the cheapest there...

so i asked for a Seagate 120gb 5400rpm 8mb cache Hdd... it was what i wanted
the best thing is... it came with 5 year full warranty from the manufacturer... and it's for rm275 ... worth wut~!!

then i asked for an external Hdd enclosure... as i want to take out my current 40gb hdd that came with the notebook, use it as a external hdd...

i asked for the choices i can get for the enclosure, the sales personnel recommended Cooler Master...
my eyes widen.. as i am quite a fan for CM products...

CM produces alot of cool and innovative products... i am using the CM Notepal cooling pad...

he showed me the enclosure... it looks very nice... they priced it rm90...
damn cool... but rm90... hmmm...

It has a nice mirror finishing, comes wif a casing, a microfiber cloth (u must be asking why rite?)
and cables...
but in the end i still bought it... :P

Had to take half day off on monday... to settle my car's problem... me and dad went to the workshop early in the morning... to look for the mechanic... and my dad picked up my old crankshaft pulley that was left on the floor by the mechanic after replacing it last week during the overhaul...

my dad brought it together... just in case...

we brought the mechanic to lowyat plaza... opened the bonnet... shine shine abit... the mechanic said it was the crankshaft pulley... so he used his tools and opened it and took it out...

it scared the living daylight out of us when we saw the condition of the pulley...
that pulley was so called proton original manufacturer parts... it was kinda destroyed...

luckily my dad brought the old pulley... else mahfarn lorh~
mechanic replaced the old pulley to my engine... and started the engine... wolla~ settle for the moment...

that rubber strip is actually the most important component of the crankshaft pulley,
it will hold the 2 plates together (1 plate is connected to timing belt(pulley) there... another plate is to crankshaft)
and that strip u see in the pictures is the IMPORTANT rubber insert... :-s

so drove back to PJ... and went to the spare shop to ask for a replacement... we did not get back the same branded pulley... we asked for a REAL original proton parts... so we placed an order for it...

and that's how my week started... it was dramatic...
and alot more dramas came on later the week... drama drama~

became "ghost buster"... catching "ghost" my own and other colleagues' bugs that cause the errors in our project... :P

it's really officially a stupid week... wat ever la~

now the engine is stalled and could not start...
hopefully nothing serious happen to it...

frustrated that such thing happens after spending 1k+ on the overhaul...
i am so going to scold the mechanic if he damage my engine... cos the belting all is so over tensed~

my car is still at lowyat plaza now... need to tarik the mechanic there and look

sigh~

Work~~

today early in the morning... our Technical Manager summoned everybody from my project to the meeting room...

and told us something which is very harsh to us~ the new KPI item...

she told us that we only could afford to have MAXIMUM 5 bugs during the whole project cycle...
means that during SIT and UAT, only can have 5 bugs reported under ALL the modules that we have done before...

5 bugs for one project cycle is totally impossible!

so practically everybody is feeling unsatisfied as the KPI will affect our bonus alot...

but my tech lead consoled us... saying that we developers just do our best in minimising the bugs count...
and the bugs will be rated according to severity... and also the complication of all the modules that we do....

(takkan some ppl do all simple module can have same bug count wif ppl who do BIG ASS modules rite? not fair right... cos easy module sure easier to do and got lesser scenario to cover mar)

just imagine... ppl do easy modules are less exposed to bugs compared to ppl who does complicated modules... so if the always do easy module and get higher bonus compared to ppl who always work their ass off on the super shitty hard modules... so UNFAIR rite?

so one word to my tech lead... U support us... we support u to the MAX~~!!!
