Christmas is ard the corner...~

after some not so pleasing moments... something more pleasing is coming up~

christmas is around the corner... Christmas used to be my happiest moment of the year... since ever i was a kid, i always liked christmas... i dunno why... probably i just like the cartoons then...

but as i grew up... i read alot of stories about christmas... as it's a season for loving n kindness... n to tell the truth about feelings... i fell in love with the idea...

i like christmas... i can listen to christmas song anytime ard the year... i like the christmas decoration in the malls as it makes me felt so warm inside...

but... weird that this year i do not feel so happy as usual... i just don't feel the mood... no a single tingling christmas mood... probably due the problems that have kept me bz from thinking any other things.. but... i guess i choose not to think about it and just look forward.. instead of worrying about the problem.. why not find a way out of it?

i think i will start enjoying my christmas season all over again starting from tomolo~ it's a public holiday for selangor! i shall n i will... afterall, christmas only come once a year.. why waste it?

planning an up coming christmas party for eBworx... hopefully it will be good!
looking forward for it and can't wait~ christmas!!!

so what's ur idea of christmas?

A calm and serene place

Latitude :: N 5˚45'52.5"
Longitude :: E 103˚01'36.2"

as known as Redang Island~!

hehe... am here today for PADI Advance Open Water certification which consist of ::
1) Night Dive
2) Deep Dive
3) Peak Performance Buoyancy
4) Multilevel Dive
5) Navigation Dive

i had my night dive today~ I felt pretty afraid at first... but as we submerge into the water wif our dive light, the feeling was terrific!!!

everything underwater become so different... as we could only see and concentrate on where we our torch light beam shines~
which makes us dive slower to look for interesting things under the corals, in between rocks, on the sandy bottom and etc...

During this dive, I first saw an Sand Eel... it's a white colour eel with it's body stucked under the sand.. just leaving the head above the sand~ very small fellow.. very cute!

what do u think about NATO?~

Have u heard about NATO?? where everyone there just talk talk and more talking... but nooo... what i meant here is not the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.. u shud know what do i mean...

someone once told me... we should not shoot on our own leg when we want something to success.. oh yes... i well agree on that...

but what really happen was... he shoot himself on his own blady leg~!!

how can we have confidence in him... all his "wonderful" and persuasive words... but finally... it's just merely a pecks of erm.. how shud i put it? deceiving words?

one thing i would really pantang at work is... we are not being able to receive the lease amount of credit for the huge amount of hard work, scarifies that we have contributed because some particular ppl asked for many last minutes favor even we do really go way off our path to help them... work till late nite because of "FAVOR"... but in the end.. we are just being left at the side... unnoticed~ when everybody is happily being credited...

oh well... i wouldn't blame them for being forgetful... or even choose to forget and ignore what ever last minute favor that they always ask... but it will come to a point where.. they were reminded and told about the having the appreciation thoughts... they just merely ignore it... that's something totally unacceptable...

and we always hear good things... lots of promises when they want our help to get their things done... but... now... i wonder, how many of them are sincere praises...
I have NO IDEA~!!!!

are we jz not good enough for them? or some other reason?

best gift in the world~

like one of my former tech lead have said in his farewell speech for our former PM... the most valuable and best gift in the world from someone is ... Knowledge...

I totally agree with his thoughtful statement...
knowledge is something that we are able to acquire if we are at the correct moment, in the correct place, with the correct people, correct mind set, and with correct opportunity...

and the best knowledge we can get from someone(or even from books) is knowledge about life...

knowledge about life is usually from people's experienced.. and experiences are gather throughout years of them falling and climbing up again.. meeting obstacles... climbing through mountains and valleys... failing and succeeding..

and all these knowledge prepare us to be a much better person without us having to go through alot of mistakes that they have made through out their "experiences"...

and like what our CTO have said this afternoon...

Winning is about thinking one step ahead...[quoted from CIMB promo for nicol david]

special thanks to
Jefferey for sharing such wonderful knowledge about finance and life experience...
thanks tai hsia.. for telling me a lesson about the business world...
thanks joe and nic for your technical knowledge...
thanks saw liew for teaching me a valuable knowledge many months ago~
thanks to all my tech leads and seniors for your trainings and opportunity in work..
and lastly thanks dad and mom for all of ur teachings...

and thank you all that have made an difference in my life.. i truly appreciate it~

Ho Chi Minh City... City with thousand of motobikes~

coming to you all the way from HCMC~ Yellow House Hotel...
It's 0815 now....

there is practically 1 thing to identify that u are already in Ho Chi Minh city... u will see tons of motobikes on the road...

Like what lonely planet had said.. this city is swamp with motobikes tat was ones bicycles...

Ho Chi Minh city is a pretty developed place... much advance city than Phonem Penh and Siem Reap.

We reached Ho Chi Minh City(HCMC) directly from Siem Reap.. the journey took us roughly 12+ hours... we spent the whole day in the bus~ butt also flat already... it's ard 600+ kilometers from Siem Reap to HCMC.

we reached this place, then we went to get our return tickets at the Mekong Express Bus's office... then we find our way to our guest house at Du Vien St. - Yellow House Hotel.
Cheap~ and looks cheap too... hahahaha cost us 15usd for a big twin room per night...

then after settle down at the hotel, we went for food hunting... practically everywhere... ppl just sit on small stool to have their food... noodles.. coffee... and more noodles...

we were searching for noodles tooo.. but so many places they are selling those noodles with pork hanging there in the stall... so we kept walking from street to streets... then we came across one stall.. which says... "Hue's Noddles Beef Soup"...[hue's noodle Beef Soup]

ahh something not very "porky"... we think...
the noodle is fantastic... mayb it's because that we only had like 2 bread and 2 pastries whole day in the bus... or it's really that great with it's spices...

Ezriq had the beef noodle soup... i had the pork version... very tasty....
everyone should try it when they are in HCMC...

after the noodle... we went strolling around the city...
looking at the night lights...

Siem Reap, Cambodia~

Reporting to you live at Molly Malone's, Pub Street Cambodia~

food here is cheap... around 2 dollars for a decent meal by the road side...
good taste~

visited one of the temples today... went there for the sunset scene~ very very beautiful~
(line is a lil bad over here... will upload the pictures later)

crossing border from
Aranyaprathet to Cambodia is a lil challenging.. as the touts is EVERYWHERE! i really mean EVERYWHERE... they can just come and snatch something off your pouch in a blink of eyes... and just disbursed to nowhere...

That's at the border.. but at the town itself, It's a very nice place~ at least for the Disco... named by Fusion...
great place to hangout... :)

oh another thing... after getting over to poipet... oh gosh.. that place is the worst representation of cambodia by far... the mafia taxi is pretty scary... but we got on a taxi for a fee of 50USD... which is considered as pretty expensive... oh well.. but it got us to Siem Reap pretty fast and comfy... so actually it's not that bad afterall...
2 white man we met in Aranyaprathet... walked so far away from us as they are not willing to share the cake of 50USD for the taxi... hope that Cameron(from NZ) and Garette(from canada) is okay~
We instead took the taxi with Peter&Petra(from Holland)...

Now i am at the pub at my guesthouse.. kinda nice and cosy over here...

alrite.. that's for now.. for the moment...
Sunrise at Angkor Wat tomolo~ weeeeee...

life is unpredictable.. treasure it~

yes... life is very unpredictable... treasure it...

there is a chinese saying... when u have something to do today... do not wait till tomolo...

if u love someone.. do not wait till tomolo to tell the person...
we might not know what will happen tomolo... life is always full of mystery...

today... a fren of mine asked me... why does good and kind ppl always have a very short life...

my answer... it's fated... as they do not need to go through the painful process of life anymore...

oh well... life is a process that is full of suffering... everyday... we gotta wake up... brush teeth...eat... go to the loo... bath... work... crack ur head thinking about money... about love... this that... get scolded by boss, by clients... fall ill... get all the pain... and etc etc...

so when someone left us... we should not be too sad about it... we should celebrate it instead...
i know it's very hard to accept this fact... but... it's the fact...

we always tend to bury ourself in memories.. and get attached too much to it... i guess this is human nature...
we need to let go of the pass.. and get ready to welcome the future...

anyway... for all friends... who lost their friend... let's not get too sad about it... i believe that she does not want us to be sad too...
and to my buddy... my deepest condolence to you... stay strong~ we want u back!

and to all people out there!!! drive safely... ~

stress

stress have been building up lately... at times, we do felt that we are incompetent of what we are doing...

what we were expected to do... and what we wanted to do...

But.. to my surprise, this is a common feeling normal for people who really wants to bring the best out of themself...

there is few reason why this category of people do feel stressful...
because of

- WANTS,
- EXPECTATIONS from OTHERS,
- EXPECTATIONS from OURSELF,
- PEER PREASURE,
and also

WOULD NOT WANNA LET THOSE PPL WHO RECOMMEND FOR OUR PROMOTION FELT DISSAPOINTED.

hmm well folks, try to relax... plan your steps... take good care of urself... relax when we should.

always have play time and work time separated.

this is life... we experience alot of UPs and DOWNs... just like a SINE GRAPH... this is the LAW of LIFE... we have to life through it no matter what... try to accept it... :)

last few weeks, when i was stationed at data center, i made some new friends. there were one guy that told me this...

Life is like a journey... journey with alot of decision to be made... some road comes with an expected outcome and some doesn't come with a visible ones...
each chosen path has it pros and cons...

some are straight like a 10 lane autobahn that allows u to speed through it and reach the destination without much obstacles and adventure.. plain and dull...and left thinking.. what's next and what have i missed??

OR some... which is like a hiking up the everest, going through gobi desert/australian outback/arabian desert, rafting through rough sea and going through snow and storm... Having victory scars and scratches everywhere...

think about it...
it's left for you to decide what kind of adventure that u are seeking...

keep on improving...
set a target... and work towards it~

9th Day of CNY

hey hey family and friends... Happy Chinese New Year!!!!
May your mouse year be prosperous, healthy, blessed and well!!!

Today is one day after the v-day... which is also called the Singles Awareness Day according to some friends.. hahaha and also chap si-fatt day created by some colleagues...(he only knows why) haha...

oh well... saw many girls with bouquet of flowers walking on the streets... how sweet! :D

anyway... today is the 9th day of Lunar new year.. Today is the birthday of the Jade Emperor... which better known as Tian-Gong (天公)...
which also a very Blessed and memorable day for Hokkiens!
There is a history behind it!... (i just got to know from my dad just now :P) I have been blur for 23 years~

anyway... the Story sounds like this...

Hokkiens was hunt and attacked by Song Dynasty's Mongolian(thanx to jane for the correction) troops.

In order to avoid clashing (and mass killing) with the imperial armies,
the Hokkiens then fled to the Henan province where sugarcane plantation is abundance. There, the small group of surviving Hokkiens hid themselves among the sugarcane plants

The pursuing Imperial armies spent many days trying to locate them but to no avail. On the ninth day on the Lunar New Year, they gave up and retreat back to base.
Hokkiens are glad that they are safe because of the blessing from the God of the Sky ...

This was the day that the hokkien was blessed and it's the Jade Emperor's birthday...

text was extracted from http://www.cywong.com/sugarcaned-closing.htm

From now onwards, i will appreciate this day better! :)

Happy New Year to ALL!!!!

my weekend @ PS Bash

yo yo yo... it's weekend...
but it's not a resting weekend for me~

ppl from Seed Comm. called me up couple of weeks ago to ask me whether i am free to be a part of working team for PS Bash. oh well i do not have anything planned that time... so i agreed...

it was for saturday and sunday @ The Curve...
i woke up early in the morning on saturday ard 7am... it have been awhile since i woke up this early on a very fine saturday...

had to get my lazy ass there by 730am... as instructed...
for the morning event, it was another round of race for choosing the top 3 teams~

the race... it's something like amazing race... where each team is given a clue for start... they have to decipher the clue and find their way through the mall(which is The Curve) and get to the check point to do some task... then only they will be given the following clue...

Phat Fabes was the MC for saturday...
oh man... he is entertaining~ these radio DJ is totally different from those normal MC.. they know how to bring life to the crowd...

me and fabes

b4 we call it a day... we had to give out some goodie bags to the public as we have a lot!!
so with the help of Fabes... we actually given out ard 400+ goodie bags in just short 20 minutes~ Ha! just imagine that!

Then we all went home~
On the next day... we only gotta reach there at The Curve at 930am... so on the way... i went to Paramount to pick up waiping to work too...

my team for this event... Lionel, May, Chunwei, Agnes, Waiping, and Anna... our cheif
Thank you for the donuts as breakfast! delicious!!!

During the event, we constantly have to give out so many ballons to pass-byers and of course lil children will love it!!
and here we got our "ballon gam-yu-lou and gam-yu-po"...

agnes and lionel out there bluffing small kids...

Ben was the MC for 2nd day~
oh man~ he IS GOOD toooooooooo... he has his ways to draw crowd's attention and getting crowd to join the activities~

and he got his ways to get ladies up to the stage too~

Sunday was the grand final of the grand final... only 3 teams will be competing with each other... which actually includes.. Spot the differences, Wall Climbing relay, and finally... the question and answer section... the questions are all crazy!!!
like...

what's the height of Everest (which is 29 28.. 29028 ft).
highest waterfall in the world... (which is angel falls at Venezuela)
who is the first women prime minister of England??

the questions was something like that... massive...

out of a very common day

it have been awhile since i am missing in the scene...

many back dated un-finished post like...
Christmas~
Road Trip to Langkawi
and etc...

and many unwritten post like...
memories of 2007 (the usual ones like everybody does and Hey... i gotta have one too)

anyway... today is a very usual day that i kinda felt like writing somethin... i am typing from my Microsoft Wireless 1000 keyboard... which i have not been using it since i went onsite to Ambank@Jalan Raja Chulan...

today was a usual usual day...
freaking out... counting 52 earlier on... and it's 51 now... :-ss

i went to cyberjaya to look for ET to discuss about the trip@cambo@May2008...

i went to cyber through Bkt Jalil and turned up to an unusual Flyover... at my first sight... i love the curve of the highway... i love the way it curves upwards!!

very cool... i shall find a day and take a picture of it...
and something caught my attention... a Signboard...

Which says... KL - Putrajaya highway or something... :p

oh so this is the always spoken KL - Putrajaya highway...
tat highway is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo straight... but there is quite alot of hill climbs too... alot of head-on-wind too...

but it's all straight... it took me ard 15 minutes to reach Cyber from Bkt Jalil... how cool is it rite?

ha~ anyway...finally... some light is shinning... the trip most probably gonna be from 1st May to somewhere ard 10th May 2008...

itenary : KL -> bkk -> Siem Reap -> Phonem Penh -> Ho Chi Minn city -> KL
oh yeah... it's gonna be sooooooooo fun... :D

......................................................................................
